Valérie and Fabrice Closset, both agronomists, took over a five-hectare property at Gevingey in 2008. The productive vineyard covers less than seven hectares, planted to Pinot Noir, Trousseau, Chardonnay and Savagnin, and the farm also has an orchard and an apiary. Below the Jura’s first plateau, the parcels move from silty clay derived from limestone through alternating layers of marl and limestone.

Organic certification arrived in 2010 and Demeter biodynamic certification in 2011. They have also trialled rootstocks and later-ripening grape varieties, reorganized vineyard plots and diversified the farm.
