Castello di Bossi
AboutCastello di Bossi
Castello di Bossi, a Chianti Classico estate in Castelnuovo Berardenga, has a stone tower dating to 1099. The Bacci family acquired the property in 1984, and it remains at the centre of their wine business.
Its 120 hectares of vineyards lie at an average of about 350 metres in the warmer southern part of the denomination, growing Sangiovese alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The estate farms organically and uses renewable power, with sheep grazing beneath a four-hectare solar array.

Italian Red
Blackcurrant, cherry and cassis lead with tobacco, dark chocolate and a measured touch of coffee. The palate is concentrated and energetic, combining layers of ripe fruit with substantial tannins and fresh acidity. New-oak spice is present but held within a balanced, harmonious frame, while the finish remains long and composed. Decant carefully and serve with bistecca, roast lamb, wild mushrooms or aged pecorino.
