AboutCasa Orendain
Casa Orendain is a family tequila house in Tequila, Jalisco, with a history reaching back to Eduardo Orendain González’s purchase of a small distillery in 1926. In 1944, his wife Mercedes bought the property that became La Mexicana, the family’s distillery.
Successive generations have continued making tequila from blue Weber agave. At La Mexicana, mature agaves are cooked in brick ovens before fermentation and distillation.
Batanga Tequila Reposado 750 mL
Earthy agave and subtle smoke lead the aroma, followed by vanilla and candied orange peel. The spirit is made exclusively from estate-grown agave, cooked in brick ovens and fermented with locally produced yeast. After distillation, four to six months in bourbon barrels shape the profile. The result brings earth, gentle smoke, vanilla and orange peel together after its time in oak.
