AboutCasa Mariol

Josep Maria Bes and Josefina Aguiló founded Casa Mariol in Batea in 1945, turning their home winemaking into a family business. The third generation—Josep Maria, Miquel Àngel and Marta Vaquer—now runs the winery in Terra Alta, in southern Catalonia.

The family farms about fifty hectares and buys grapes from nearby growers, working with limestone-rich soils and a dry Mediterranean climate shaped by the cierzo and garbí winds. Alongside its wines, Casa Mariol makes vermouth with botanicals from Terra Alta.

Casa Mariol Vermut Blanc

Spanish Fortified
$52.99
Pale and aromatic, this white vermouth brings green herbs, fennel and anise together with bitter citrus and a subtle vanilla note. The palate is dry, fresh and gently rounded, with enough bitterness to sharpen its clean, persistent finish. Serve well chilled over ice with lemon, top with soda, or pair with anchovies, shellfish, salted almonds and young cheese.
