AboutCasa de Vilacetinho

Casa de Vilacetinho dates to 1790, on land once held by the Benedictine monastery of Alpendurada. One of Vinho Verde’s early bottling estates, it is particularly known for Avesso, a grape that gives its wines body and structure.

About 30 hectares of vineyards run along mainly south-facing slopes above the Douro near Alpendurada, within Vinho Verde’s Amarante subregion. Granite soils, Atlantic winds and marked changes in temperature between seasons shape the growing conditions.
