AboutCantina Terlano
Twenty-four growers founded Cantina Terlano in 1893 to gain independence from the large landowners who controlled local winegrowing. The Alto Adige cooperative now has 143 members, with white wines accounting for about 70 percent of production.
Its vineyards lie among the red quartz-porphyry rocks of Terlano. Winemaker Sebastian Stocker began setting aside bottles to study how the wines age, a practice that grew into an archive of roughly 100,000 bottles, including every vintage from 1955 and some older wines.
Cantina Terlano 2024 Terlaner Cuvée
Italian White
Brilliant pale yellow with green nuances, the wine brings green apple, white peach, lemon balm and mint. Peach also appears on the palate, which is lively and mellow, with freshness, minerality and a persistent finish. The blend is sixty percent Pinot Bianco, thirty percent Chardonnay and ten percent Sauvignon Blanc. It contains thirteen-and-a-half percent alcohol and matures in stainless steel and large wood.
Cantina Terlano 2025 Pinot Grigio
Italian White
Light straw yellow in colour, the wine carries grapefruit, white peach, lychee and floral notes. The palate is rounded and soft, with harmonious acidity, black-tea spice, melon, mango and fine minerality. Grapes are hand-picked and selected, then gently whole-cluster pressed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by about six months on fine lees in steel.
