The Vacca family has farmed vineyards around Barbaresco since the 1920s, with its holdings centred on the Ovello hillside. Cantina del Pino began bottling under its own label in 1997, marking a new phase for fruit previously connected to the local growers’ cooperative. The estate is based in Barbaresco and focuses on Nebbiolo alongside the other traditional grapes permitted in the area.

Ovello provides an important geographic anchor, while the portfolio also includes wines from additional parcels and broader appellation blends. The family’s own site and the Barbaresco regional enoteca agree on the estate identity, location and continuity of Vacca family stewardship. Ovello, Nebbiolo and Vacca family stewardship give Cantina del Pino a clear place in contemporary Barbaresco.
