AboutCampari
Gaspare Campari created his red bitter in 1860, beginning a story that became closely tied to Milan’s aperitivo culture. His Caffè Campari opened in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in 1867, and his son Davide expanded production with a Sesto San Giovanni plant in 1904. Davide opened Camparino in the Galleria in 1915.
Artists including Cappiello, Depero and Munari helped shape Campari’s visual style through the twentieth century. The red bitter remains a defining ingredient in the Negroni.
Campari Italian Bitter Aperitif 750 mL
Brilliantly clear and vibrant red, it opens with herbal, orange and floral aromas. The palate is pleasantly bitter, with intense notes of orange, herbs and wood. These citrus, botanical and woody elements form a multi-layered profile, each contributing a distinct note on the palate. The aftertaste is velvety in texture, providing a smooth counterpoint to the drink’s pronounced bitterness.
