A 1782 document records a house and cellar at Cà dei Frati in Lugana di Sirmione, on land known as the Friars’ property. Felice Dal Cero moved there from Montecchia di Crosara in 1939, beginning the family’s winegrowing story in Lugana. His son Pietro helped establish the Lugana DOC, and the family bottled its first wine in 1969 as Lugana Casa dei Frati.
After Pietro’s death in 2012, his wife Santa Rosa and their children Igino, Gian Franco and Anna Maria continued to lead the company. Turbiana, the grape at the heart of the estate’s Lugana wines, grows in a climate moderated by Lake Garda. Fruit from each vineyard is made into wine separately.

Italian White
White flowers and apricot open with a light balsamic lift. The palate is fresh and linear, bringing white peach, yellow apple and pear into a polished, gently rounded texture. Saline and mineral notes give the fruit definition, while lively acidity keeps the wine precise. A touch of white pepper and iodine carries through the crisp, savoury finish.
