AboutBushmills
Bushmills takes its name from its County Antrim village, where a royal licence permitted distilling in the surrounding area in 1608. The Old Bushmills Distillery was rebuilt after a fire destroyed much of it in 1885.
Today its single malts are triple distilled from malted barley in copper stills, and malt whiskey also forms the heart of its blends. The neighbouring Causeway Distillery opened in 2023, using electricity from renewable sources.
Bushmills Black Bush Irish Whiskey 50 mL
Rich sherry character leads with dried fruit, ripe peach and a gentle nutty depth. A high proportion of malt whiskey brings weight and intensity, while lighter grain whiskey keeps the palate smooth and composed. Maturation in former Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks adds warm oak and rounded sweetness through the finish. Enjoy neat, over ice or in a classic whiskey cocktail.
