AboutBrouwerij 't Verzet
Alex Lippens, Koen Van Lancker and Joran Van Ginderachter met while studying biochemistry and brewing in Ghent, then worked at established breweries after graduating in 2008. Their garage experiments became Brouwerij ‘t Verzet, first brewing at other facilities before opening its own brewery and bar in Anzegem.
Its Oud Bruin follows the south-west Flemish tradition of blending young beer with oak-matured beer. Annual Oud Bruin infusions and occasional experimental releases give the brewers room to try new ideas.

Raspberries and other red fruits appear in the fruity scent, accompanied by a woody touch. The official brewery describes a fruity flavour with a firm sour aftertaste and lists six per cent alcohol. It also confirms the addition of raspberries. The published details place red fruit, wood and pronounced sourness within the documented brown-ale profile.
