Breakside Brewery

Scott Lawrence opened Breakside in Northeast Portland in 2010, starting with a neighbourhood restaurant and pub brewery. A trip to Alaska the year before had prompted him to leave his previous career and open a brewery.

A production brewery in Milwaukie followed in 2013, and the business became employee-owned in 2019. Across its Oregon locations, the brewing teams continue to experiment with new beers and changing tap lists.
