AboutBrasserie Dupont
Brasserie Dupont occupies a former farm-brewery in Tourpes whose roots reach 1759 and whose brewing activity is documented from 1844. In 1920 Alfred Dupont bought the property for his son Louis, an agronomist tempted to leave for Canada, and Louis restored the saison tradition that became central to the house. The brewery passed through the Rosier family after the Second World War and since 2002 has been led by engineer-brewer Olivier Dedeycker, representing the fourth generation.
Dupont remains independent and family-run. Its brewing methods include open-flame heating, in-house yeast culture and fermentation in square, flat-bottomed vessels. For bottle-conditioned beers, a second fermentation takes place in a warm room.
Brasserie Dupont Saison Dupont 330 mL
Grapefruit, white-fruit esters and clove lead this classic Belgian saison, followed by gentle malt and a firm, clean bitterness. The palate is complex yet dry, with lively freshness and no residual sweetness weighing down the finish. Serve slightly chilled with mussels, asparagus, grilled meats, farmhouse cheeses, herb-led dishes, savoury stews or moderately spiced Asian food.
