Nutty, savoury aromas include green almond and chalk. The palate is energetic and mineral-driven, with brisk acidity, saline grip and a lingering stony finish. Verdicchio from the Pagliano vineyard is fermented with indigenous yeasts. The twenty-year-old site lies at an average altitude of 350 metres on clay-calcareous soils. The wine is organic, carries 13 percent alcohol and is classified as Verdicchio di Matelica DOC.

Fresh and tangy, with lime blossom and ground ginger lifting flavours of McIntosh apple, wet stone and lemon peel. The palate is light-bodied and sleek, carrying vivid acidity into an almond-tinged finish. Serve well chilled with sushi, crudo, baked or poached fish, fried seafood, seafood pasta, risotto, pesto, savoury soups, shellfish or simply prepared vegetables.
