AboutBodegas Artazu
The López de Lacalle family began Bodegas Artazu in Navarra in 1996, working to recover old Garnacha vineyards around Artazu and San Martín de Unx. The vineyards had survived years of difficult farming and declining plantings.
The parcels include limestone-derived, clay-limestone and clay-sand soils. Vineyard work centres on organic cultivation and hand harvesting, with fruit selected by parcel.

Ripe red berries open with cream, warm spice and a light touch of leather. Concentrated berry fruit carries through the palate, framed by juicy acidity and a firm but measured structure. Savoury detail emerges on the finish, adding depth without overwhelming the fruit. Serve with roast lamb, braised beef or grilled mushrooms.
