Bernardo Weinert founded Bodega Weinert in 1975 after choosing an historic winery in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, for his Argentine project. The building’s underground cellars and large oak casks became central to an approach based on patient maturation and later release. Weinert works with fruit from established Mendoza districts and keeps individual lots long enough to select blends after extended cellar development.

The estate’s history reflects Bernardo Weinert’s European background while its vineyards and wines are firmly rooted in Argentina. Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and traditional red blends form the core of the house, with maturation decisions made wine by wine. The wines are Argentine in origin, with the winery and long cellar ageing rooted in Mendoza.
