Bodega Hacienda López de Haro

Forest fruits, liquorice, undergrowth, spice and chocolate shape the profile. The palate is full and balanced while remaining fine and fresh; fruit and barrel notes return in the aftertaste. Tempranillo comes from organic vineyards more than seventy years old in Rioja's Sonsierra. Fermentation was spontaneous with native yeasts, followed by two weeks of maceration and fourteen months in French, Eastern European and American oak.

Ripe cherry and dark berries lead, with cedar, tobacco and warm baking spice adding mature savoury depth. The palate is dry and robust, balancing concentrated fruit with fresh acidity and firm, polished tannins. Earth and vanilla gather through the persistent finish, making it a natural match for lamb, braised beef, grilled mushrooms or aged Manchego.
