AboutBernard-Massard

Jean Bernard founded Bernard-Massard in 1921 after returning to Luxembourg from work as a cellar master in Champagne. He established the house at Grevenmacher on the Moselle, combining his surname with that of his wife, Anne Massard.

It remains a family business, with Antoine Clasen representing the fifth generation. Its traditional-method sparkling wines undergo their second fermentation and maturation in bottle.

Bernard-Massard Chardonnay Brut

Luxembourgish Sparkling
$38.99

Exotic fruit and white flowers open with a fresh, elegant lift. Traditional bottle fermentation and several months on the lees bring fine bubbles and a gently rounded texture, while the Chardonnay base keeps the palate clear and fruit-led. The brut finish is crisp rather than austere, leaving citrus, tropical fruit and a delicate yeasty note in a clean, composed close.
