Beefeater’s history begins with the Chelsea Distillery, opened in 1820 and bought by pharmacist James Burrough in 1863. He developed the gin later in the nineteenth century and named it after the Tower of London’s Yeoman Warders. Distilling moved to Lambeth in 1908 and to Kennington in 1958, where Beefeater is still made.
For London Dry, nine botanicals—including juniper, Seville orange and lemon peel—steep for twenty-four hours before distillation.

Bold juniper leads, sharpened by bright lemon and orange peel over a clean, dry botanical frame. The palate is fresh and vivid, with citrus lifting the piney core while coriander and savoury herbs add measured complexity. A crisp finish keeps it versatile rather than heavy. Serve with tonic and lemon, stir into a dry Martini, or use it where a classic juniper-forward structure is essential, from a Negroni to a Tom Collins.
