AboutLuigi Baudana
Luigi Baudana is a small wine estate in Serralunga d’Alba, where Baudana is the name of the family, the hamlet and a Barolo vineyard. Luigi and Fiorina Baudana tended inherited vines for more than thirty years, initially making wine for themselves in the vaulted cellar of their home. Their first bottled Barolo was the 1996 vintage.
In January 2009, they entrusted the estate to Giuseppe Vaira and his family. The Vairas farm the Baudana and Cerretta vineyards using their organic protocol. The range includes single-vineyard Barolos from those two sites, a Serralunga village Barolo and a Langhe white.
Luigi Baudana 2025 Dragon Langhe Bianco
Italian White
Crisp pear and green apple lead, with lemon, meadow herbs, hay and fresh sage adding aromatic detail. The palate is dry, bright and finely textured, carrying orchard fruit through lively acidity to a clean, mineral finish. It suits oysters, grilled white fish, fresh goat cheese, vegetable risotto or herb-led salads.
Luigi Baudana 2018 Barolo Cerretta DOCG
Italian Red
Mid ruby with the first hints of garnet, opening slowly to perfumed red fruit, black cherry and plum, then sage, menthol, licorice and crushed stone. Medium-bodied and tightly focused, the palate brings striking freshness and firm, fine-grained tannins. Structured and mineral, it finishes long with dark fruit, savoury spice and quiet power.
