AboutBanditry Cider
Banditry Cider was founded in Gibsons by Kim Scarrow and Jamie Armstrong, opening on the Sunshine Coast in 2021. The four-acre farm has an orchard of heritage cider apples, perry pears, plums, cherries, quince and table apples. The name came from the resident flock—a “banditry”—of chickadees that helps control pests among the trees.
Cidermaker Matt Cavers brought his brewing background to a range of traditional, dry-hopped and co-fermented ciders. All of the apples are grown in British Columbia, and the ciders are made without concentrates or artificial flavouring. Fruit from the farm is supplemented through leased orchards elsewhere in the province. The farm also collects rainwater and has rain-fed ponds.
Banditry Petal & Root Cider 4-Pack
Canadian Cider
British Columbia apple cider is brightened with ruby-red hibiscus flowers and a measured splash of fresh-pressed ginger juice. The floral note feels vivid rather than perfumed, while the ginger brings a clean, gently warming kick through the finish. Juicy orchard fruit and brisk freshness keep the whole expression light on its feet. Serve chilled with sushi, grilled chicken, fresh salads or mild curry.
Banditry Cider Rooibos Honey Spice
Canadian Cider
Fruity rooibos tea brings a gently earthy, red-fruited tone to the apple base, while honey softens the edges and cinnamon adds warming spice. The palate is dry and composed rather than sugary, balancing fragrant botanicals with clear orchard character. A lingering, lightly spiced finish makes this especially inviting in cooler weather. Serve chilled with roast squash, pork or aged cheese.
