Bacio Divino
AboutBacio Divino
Bacio Divino began in Napa Valley in 1993, when Claus and Diane Janzen acquired a barrel of Sangiovese wine that others had passed over. They blended it with Cabernet Sauvignon to make their first vintage. Claus’s background includes a move from Winnipeg to Napa and twelve years developing international markets for Caymus. The winery remains family-run.
Bacio Divino 2000 Napa Valley Proprietary Red
American Red
Inky ruby-purple colour accompanies charcoal, toasted oak, espresso and blackcurrant. The proprietary red blend is dense, rich and full-bodied, with ripe tannins, low acidity and a plump, layered, concentrated profile. Cabernet Sauvignon accounts for sixty-five percent, Sangiovese twenty-four percent and Petite Sirah eleven percent. A sweet character is also present. The wine comes from Napa Valley, California.
