Artemis Karamolegos established his modern winery on Santorini in 2004, building on a family tradition of tending vines on the island. The estate works principally with Assyrtiko, the white grape closely associated with Santorini’s volcanic landscape and long-lived basket-trained vines. Its wines are organised around different expressions of the island, from broader blends to bottlings tied to particular villages or old vineyards.

The producer’s own account emphasises work with local growers and the preservation of mature vine material across Santorini. Cellar choices vary by cuvée, keeping attention on Santorini’s places and grapes instead of imposing a single production method on the range. The result is a modern Santorini estate whose range remains tied to Assyrtiko, village sites and old-vine parcels.

Artemis Karamolegos Pyritis Assyrtiko Santorini

Greek White
$109.99
Ripe peach, lemon and fresh citrus lead a focused, mineral bouquet. A saline note and subtle herbal lift bring the volcanic character into sharper relief. The palate is rich yet precise, with firm acidity giving shape to the stone fruit and citrus. Long and energetic, it closes with lemon, peach, sea-salt freshness and a clean stony finish.
