Ardnamurchan Distillery

Orchard fruit and citrus open the nose, joined by wet stone, sea-shell salinity and a thread of earthy peat smoke. The palate balances vanilla sweetness and orange cream with darker sherry-cask fruit, gentle tobacco and saline spice. A near-even combination of peated and unpeated spirit, matured principally in bourbon wood with a smaller sherry-cask component, gives the whisky both brightness and depth. The finish is composed and gently smoky, with lime, fruit and mineral notes lingering. Serve neat or with a little water.
