AboutAraldica Vini

Araldica Vini grew from a cooperative founded at Castel Boglione in 1954 by fifty local growers seeking to share equipment, knowledge and bargaining strength. Its growers tend vineyards across the hills of Monferrato, Gavi, Langhe and Roero.

The Castel Boglione cellar brings modern temperature-controlled fermentation together with oak ageing tailored to grape and style. Barbera has a special place in the house’s history, alongside other local Piedmont varieties.

Araldica 2023 Palazzi Monferrato Chiaretto Rosato

Italian Rosé
$24.99
Barbera and Pinot Nero form this Monferrato rosato, which is fermented in stainless steel after a short, cool skin maceration and gentle pressing. Fresh strawberry and redcurrant aromas meet ripe berry, plum and cherry character, with juicy acidity and a fresh finish. The wine is vegan, carries 11.5 percent alcohol and works with tomato-based pasta or roasted vegetables.

Araldica 2022 Piemonte Barbera

Italian Red
$26.99
Plum, raspberry and cherry lead this fresh, juicy red, while sour cherry, soft tannins, spicy liquorice and balsamic notes add detail. Refreshing acidity shapes the finish. Barbera grows on clay-limestone soils in the Monferrato hills, where grapes are hand-harvested before fermentation and malolactic conversion in stainless steel. The wine then matures for four to six months in stainless steel before bottling.
