AboutAntonio Caggiano

Antonio Caggiano came to wine with a photographer’s eye and a traveller’s curiosity, returning from years abroad to the old family vineyard at Taurasi. In 1990 he began building a cellar intended to give physical form to the history and traditions of the place. Stone tunnels, vaulted rooms, farming tools and works by Antonio and artist friends turn the winery into something close to a museum of Irpinian wine culture.

Today his son Giuseppe “Pino” Caggiano leads the estate with Antonio’s support. The range remains anchored in Taurasi and Aglianico, with whites from Fiano, Greco and Falanghina.

Antonio Caggiano 2024 Béchar Fiano di Avellino

Italian White
$62.99
Ripe pear, honeyed almond and citrus blossom lead, with a soft floral note adding lift. The palate is rounded and quietly rich, balanced by fresh acidity and a lightly savoury finish. Poised rather than heavy, it works beautifully with grilled prawns, roast chicken or pasta dressed with lemon and herbs.
