Almaroja

Almaroja is Charlotte Allen’s wine project in Fermoselle, on the Spanish side of the Arribes landscape beside Portugal. After working in the wine trade and studying winemaking, she settled among hillside parcels noted for old vines, decomposed granite and a broad mix of local varieties. She tends the vineyards herself outside harvest and uses organic methods with selected biodynamic practices, including plant-based vineyard treatments.
