Albert Bichot
AboutAlbert Bichot
The Albert Bichot name has been tied to Burgundy wine since Bernard Bichot founded a trading business in Monthélie in 1831. His successor Hippolyte purchased the family’s first vines in Volnay, and Albert Bichot later moved the business permanently to Beaune in 1912. The house’s estates extend from Chablis to Beaujolais.
Each estate has its own winery and cellar team, while the central Beaune winery handles regional appellations. For its Maison wines, Albert Bichot uses grapes from its own vineyards and long-term partner growers.

French Red
Cherry and redcurrant accompany liquorice and rose petal. The palate is full, with tannins and toast. Pinot Noir and Gamay come from clay-limestone sites. The grapes undergo sixteen to eighteen days of maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel. Eighty-five to ninety percent of the wine matures in tank, while ten to fifteen percent matures in oak, for nine to eleven months.
