AboutAberfeldy

Aberfeldy Distillery began production in 1898, built by John Alexander and Tommy Dewar to supply the heart malt for Dewar’s blends. The Highland distillery was designed by Charles Doig. Its water comes from the Pitilie Burn, a local stream known for deposits of alluvial gold.

Scottish malted barley, extended fermentation and distillation in copper pot stills shape Aberfeldy’s honeyed, fruit-forward house character. Maturation uses a mix of bourbon barrels, sherry casks, hogsheads and butts.

Floral heather honey leads into creamy macadamia, chewy beeswax and ripe orange. Dried fruit and toasted coconut add richness across the palate, while silky oak and a restrained trace of smoke keep the profile balanced. A combination of sherry, bourbon, refill and re-charred casks brings layered sweetness, spice and structure. The texture is polished and generous, with honeyed fruit lingering through the finish.
