Ribeira Sacra

Fermentation takes place in concrete and oak vats rather than stainless steel, and maturation lasts seven months in oak and concrete. Wild berries, herbs and flowers appear with spice. The wine has a juicy texture, round tannins and moderate acidity, with thirteen percent alcohol. Made entirely from Mencía, this red wine comes from Ribeira Sacra in Galicia.

Blue flowers lift a vivid mix of red and black fruit on the nose. The palate is fresh and balanced, with bright fruit carried by a light, finely shaped frame rather than heavy extraction. Floral perfume and a gentle savoury edge add definition as it opens. The finish is clean and composed, leaving juicy berry fruit and a subtle mineral freshness.
