Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
Cantina Tollo 2024 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
Italian Red
Black fruit, prune, liquorice and spice lead a generous, dry red with a distinctly savoury edge. Present acidity keeps the medium body in balance, while smooth texture carries the dark fruit through a clean, warming finish. Straightforward but composed, it is well suited to duck confit, grilled pork, pizza or tomato-rich pasta.
Talamonti 2006 Modà Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
Italian Red
Liquorice, spice, resin, flowers, cherry, pepper and saddle leather shape the aromas. The palate is round, supple and full-bodied, with acidity and a solid core of fruit. Bright cherry and plum sit with smoky, savoury, root-like and peppery notes. Its intensity suits food. Montepulciano provides the grape variety, and the wine comes from Abruzzo in central Italy.
Villa Barcaroli 2022 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
Italian Red
Juicy red berries lead, joined by subtle spice and earthy, savoury depth. The palate is generous but unforced, with supple structure and natural freshness keeping the fruit lively. Stainless-steel ageing preserves its energy and purity, while a lightly rustic edge gives the finish character, balance and an easy affinity with food.
