Equal parts Carignan and Riesling are co-fermented for this dry red. The Carignan undergoes two weeks of carbonic maceration, while destemmed Riesling ferments on its skins. After blending, malolactic fermentation and two to three months of stainless-steel ageing follow, then the wine is bottled without fining or filtration. Pink grapefruit, blood orange, plum and cranberry accompany soft fruit and fine acidity.

Red cherry, raspberry and cassis lead, with allspice, black pepper, bramble and dried herbs adding savoury detail. The palate is rich and generous without feeling heavy, its old-vine fruit framed by supple tannins and a fresh, persistent finish. Pair with barbecued ribs, roast pork, grilled sausages or smoky beans.
