Chambolle-Musigny
Domaine Georges Glantenay 2021 Chambolle-Musigny
French Red
A vibrant mineral aroma accompanies dark fruit. The palate is broad and silky, with depth, slight roundness and finishing intensity. Three parcels contribute to the wine: Les Creux Baissants, Les Condemennes and Les Fremières. The vines average forty-five to sixty-five years old, and the soils contain clay and limestone. Pinot Noir is matured with twenty percent new oak.
Méo-Camuzet Frère et Sœurs 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir
French Wine
Perfumed, crunchy red fruit opens with violet and rose-petal lift, followed by a quiet thread of spice. The palate is dry, medium-bodied and finely shaped, with fresh acidity giving the fruit precision and energy. Silky texture and fine tannins keep the wine graceful rather than weighty. The finish is pure and persistent, returning to red berries, florals and subtle spice with composed length.
Remoissenet Pere & Fils 1989 Chambolle-Musigny 12 L
French Red
Cherry, iron and dried herbs lead into savoury beef-broth notes. The palate remains richly textured and impressively long, with bright acidity carrying the mature fruit and keeping the finish energetic. The profile is evolved but still clear and composed. Bottle variation is expected at this age; stand upright before opening and decant gently around any sediment.
Remoissenet Pere et Fils 1967 Chambolle-Musigny
French Red
Delicate dried flowers and red fruit lead into a complex mature profile of cranberry, cherry, plum, thyme, mushroom and leather. The palate remains surprisingly full yet balanced, with fresh acidity and fine dusty tannins giving shape without hardness. Rose petal and savoury earth linger through a measured finish. Bottle variation is expected; stand upright before opening and decant gently only if needed.
Gérard Raphet 2018 Chambolle-Musigny
French Red
Ripe red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry open the nose, joined by rose petal, subtle spice and a light forest-floor note. The palate is supple and finely textured, with fresh acidity and delicate, polished tannins keeping the generous fruit poised. Silky and expressive, it finishes smooth and refined. Pair with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms or herb-roasted pork.
