Calistoga

Medium-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon brings fruity sweetness with cassis and black currant, joined by chocolate and coffee. The fruit is drawn from several selected Calistoga vineyards, including Villa Andriana Vineyard. Waxy plum and watermelon are also present, while tar and yeast also appear. The wine comes from Napa, California, and carries fourteen and two-tenths percent alcohol.

Black cherry, cassis and black pepper lead, layered with tomato leaf, meat and soy for a distinctly savoury profile. The palate is dense yet seamless, with grippy tannins supporting deep fruit and a long, composed finish. Elegant rather than flashy, it rewards decanting and suits roast lamb, grilled beef, braised short ribs, porcini dishes or aged hard cheese.
