French Red
Black and red cherries appear with red plums in a structured, layered Pinot Noir. Meaty tannins accompany the fruit. Energy, balance, ripe cherry and freshness are also present. The Marconnets plot lies at the northern end of Beaune near Savigny-lès-Beaune. It faces south and southeast on clay and limestone. Light woody and smoky notes accompany redcurrant and blackcurrant.

French Red
Dark mature ruby introduces smoke, damp earth, charcuterie and limestone, followed by raspberry, violet and blood orange. The palate is rich and full yet still fresh, with bright acidity and a measured tannic frame. Oolong tea, truffle, moss and autumn spice add savoury depth before a silky, gently rounded finish. Bottle variation is expected; stand upright and decant carefully.

Fully evolved and savoury, with dried cherry, raspberry and prune framed by leather, forest floor and soft spice. The palate is graceful rather than heavy, its mature fruit carried by fine structure and a gently earthy finish. Serve cool and allow sediment to settle before pouring; it suits roast duck, mushroom dishes, game birds or aged soft cheese.
