Aglianico del Vulture

Dark and brooding, musty blackcurrant, dried cherry, cinnamon, clove and cocoa meet ripe red-berry fruit in a racy, sleek profile. Saline mineral notes accompany grippy tension, while the wine is not aggressively tannic. The finish is dramatically long, with mocha and liquorice. Made from Aglianico, this red comes from Basilicata's Aglianico del Vulture appellation in southern Italy.
