About Château Cos d'Estournel
Louis-Gaspard d’Estournel began assembling and developing Cos d’Estournel in Saint-Estèphe at the end of the eighteenth century. The estate’s distinctive architecture reflects the founder’s trading links, while the vineyards occupy gravel rises close to the Gironde estuary. Cos d’Estournel was classified as a Second Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux classification.
Michel Reybier acquired the property in 2000 and has overseen its current period of ownership and investment. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are the principal varieties, with blending and élevage adjusted to the conditions of each vintage.
