About Domaine Maby
The Maby family settled at Tavel in the nineteenth century, first making wine for family and local customers before Auguste Maby turned it into a livelihood in the early twentieth century. After the Second World War, Armand Maby created the domaine and built a new cellar; the first bottles bearing the Domaine Maby name appeared in 1946. The next generation extended the vineyards from Tavel onto Lirac's rolled-pebble plateau and built markets beyond France.
Richard Maby joined in 2005 after a career in finance. The estate makes wines from Tavel, Lirac and Côtes du Rhône, and music inspires the names of many of its cuvées.
