Laughing Stock 2023 Blind Trust Red

Blackberry, dark cherry and baking spice accompany a ripe, rich aroma, while soft tannins shape the medium-bodied palate. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot form the blend. Fruit is hand picked, with clusters and berries sorted. Fermentation uses stainless-steel and French-oak vessels, followed by extended maceration and fifteen months of maturation in French oak.

About Laughing Stock Vineyards
David and Cynthia Enns left careers in finance to buy a vineyard on the Naramata Bench and establish Laughing Stock Vineyards in 2003. Their former careers inspired the financial references in the wine names and labels. Arterra Wines Canada acquired the winery in 2017.
Sandy Leier has led the winemaking team since 2022, with a focus on small-lot experimentation. The cellar uses double sorting and a mix of stainless steel, concrete eggs, clay amphorae and French oak.
