Deep cherry-red colour accompanies mushrooms, Asian spice and sous-bois. Dark cherry, earth, rhubarb and strawberry open in the glass, and the profile gains detail with air. The mature expression also shows beautiful colour, a pleasing structure and fine grain. The wine comes from Volnay in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, where Pinot Noir forms the appellation’s red wines.
