Aromas bring dried fruit, orange peel, old wood, tangy minerality and roasted nuts. Candied orange, toffee and buttered pecans accompany lively acidity and a crisp finish. Sercial makes one of the driest styles of fortified wine. Grapes are hand harvested, fermented in stainless steel and fortified after eight to ten days, then aged in French and American oak under the Canteiro system.
