Dark cherry, boysenberry and cassis open with crushed violet, dark plum and a touch of date. The palate is rich and generous, with cigar box, pencil lead, iron and warm spice adding classical Left Bank detail. Firm, integrated tannins give the wine shape, while fresh acidity keeps the finish precise and persistent. Decant before serving with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck or mature cheese.

About Château Ducru-Beaucaillou
Château Ducru-Beaucaillou has been shaped by six owner families across three centuries, with its place in Saint-Julien formally recognized in the 1855 classification. Francis Borie took charge in 1942, Jean-Eugène followed in 1959, and Bruno-Eugène now continues their work. Its name refers to the “beautiful pebbles” of its Gunz gravel soils beside the Gironde estuary, whose waters moderate the local climate.
Vineyard work includes Médoc pruning, soil restoration, green harvesting and staggered replanting. Vinification is adapted to individual parcels.
