The palate is rich and warming, bringing bourbon-like sweetness, rye spice and cherry-brandy fruit over a mature malt core. Bitterness keeps the barrel character in balance. The finish is long, complex and gently dry. Serve cool rather than ice-cold with aged cheese, braised meat or a dark chocolate dessert.
