Cacao, cinnamon and vanilla form a rich Mexican-hot-chocolate profile, with piloncillo sugar adding a deeper, rounded sweetness. The stout’s roasted malt gives structure to the spice and cocoa, keeping the palate layered rather than simply sweet. Serve cool with mole, smoked beef, aged cheddar, roast mushrooms, smoked almonds, chocolate cake, cinnamon biscuits or vanilla ice cream.
