Blueberry muffins and blueberry purée create a dense, jam-like fruit centre, but the aroma reaches beyond blueberry into raspberry and vinous red-fruit notes. Tart mixed berries shape the palate, with a faint drying edge and subtle cinnamon through the finish. The texture is juicy and coating rather than sharply sour. Serve well chilled with cheesecake, vanilla ice cream, blue cheese, roast duck or berry desserts.
