Robust rye spice opens the palate, joined by cassia, dried apricot and toasted marshmallow. Nearly four years in former maple-syrup casks brings a silky sweetness without obscuring the grain, while a small amount of maple-smoked single malt softens the edges and adds a restrained smoky note. The texture is rich and warming, finishing with lingering maple, spice and gentle toast. Serve neat or with a few drops of water, allowing the rye and cask character to unfold gradually.
