Candy apple, warm leather and charred oak lead the nose. The palate is rounded and generous, layering vanilla and cinnamon-bun spice over a sweet corn core, with the wine-seasoned oak adding depth rather than overt fruitiness. Made from Abbotsford corn and British Columbia pale malt, it spends three years in recoopered Okanagan wine barrels charred in house. The finish is long, warming and gently oaked. Serve neat, over a large cube or in a spirit-forward cocktail.
