The palate is full and velvety, balancing concentrated dark fruit with the lift expected of a well-made fortified red. About Kettle Valley Winery
The story of Kettle Valley Winery began with Tim and Janet making wine in an apartment, then moving the hobby into a garage as grape growing entered the picture. By 1987, co-founders Bob Ferguson and Tim Watts had chosen the Naramata Bench and planted Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on their first property.
The winery takes its name from the historic railway that ran above its Naramata vineyards. In 2009, it added a 14-acre vineyard in the Similkameen, replanting part of the rocky site to Zinfandel.
