Domaine de Beaurenard 2009 Boisrenard Châteauneuf-du-Pape
$165.99
Roasted fig, blackberry, cassis and kirsch form a deep, generous core, joined by graphite, pepper, tobacco and a touch of tar. The palate is powerful yet defined, with dense fruit, mouthwatering freshness and mesquite-toned tannins. A round, concentrated southern Rhône red with savoury depth and a long, structured finish.

About Domaine de Beaurenard
Domaine de Beaurenard has remained with the Coulon family for eight generations, centred on 33.5 hectares in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The name evolved from Bois Reynard, a limestone parcel facing the Rhône. Its 44 plots span four main soil types, and a vine conservatory preserves all thirteen historic local grape varieties.
The Coulons bought land in Rasteau in 1980. The vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, with cover crops, cultivation by hand or horse, and hand harvesting adapted to each plot. The family's eighth generation, Victor and Antonin, joined the estate in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
