Blackberry and black cherry lead an elegant bouquet, joined by floral lift, vanilla and mocha as it opens. The palate is soft yet densely flavoured, with darker fruit carrying into a smooth finish. About Keever Vineyards
Keever Vineyards began in 1999 as Bill and Olga Keever's plan to plant vines and sell fruit, then evolved into a small family-owned winery in Yountville. Bill manages the estate, Olga runs the office, Ashley leads hospitality, and Jason works in production with winemaker Celia Welch.
About six and a half acres of east-facing vines descend through the western hills south of town, rooted in rocky, gravelly clay loam. Cabernet Sauvignon grows here, with flavour guiding harvest decisions. The winery opened in 2006, and the wines are made and bottled on the estate.
